Peter Schiff discusses in his video blog that the economy truly isn’t growing. Investors had pointed out that there was about a 3.2% growth in the economy which was caused by an increase in consumer spending. However, Schiff argues that the increase of consumer spending is not a sign of growth. In fact, this is a problem because consumers are still spending more than they can afford and debt is growing faster than the economy.

Peter Schiff comments on his vlog: dollars and bonds continue to slide, marxism comes to U.S. and O down FHA loans. FHA loans may be back by the end of 2009. People who have not owned a home for at least 3 years can be eligible to receive an $8,000 tax credit which can be applied for the down payment of a home. Critics have complained that the new program transforms a tax credit meant to reward sidelined buyers for taking the plunge into a subsidy that could goose sales to those who cannot buy a home. Peter Schiff’s said “Didn’t we just have this big housing bust where people bought houses they can’t afford?.” “We don’t want people buying houses without using their own money.”

Peter Schiff spoke about his book “Cash Proof: How To Profit From The Coming Economic Collapse” at a meeting held by Google. Peter Schiff talks about how the economy is doing and where its heading.

Schiff goes on saying that the U.S suffered because it was living on a bubble economy and that we were borrowing money from other countries only to buy products they produced. The U.S was spending borrowed money and thus sunk lower into its debt. Instead of focusing on production, spending was the first thing the U.S did.

Wall Street also used up that money based on speculations they had. Overall, GDP was not stated as it should have been. Growth was depicted based on the spending made.

Peter Schiff Speech-Audit The Fed Rally

Peter Schiff gave a speech at the audit the Fed rally in New York City on saturday where he states that the Fed has made unconstitutional decisions.

Schiff argues that Obama is actually raising taxes on everyone since the solution to the economy’s problem has been to print out money. With the Fed printing out money it causes inflation and the problem only gets worse from there.

Schiff says that the Fed should go back to the way it used to be in the early 1900’s or just have it completely abolished.
